Can Michael Martin Make Your Real Estate Dreams: Scam or Legit?

Who is Michael Martin and the Lake Company?

How’s it going?

Today I want to talk about Michael Martin.

-He bears worth mentioning because this guy is a rock star at his trade and has taken his business to the next level.

Most agents I see out there involved in real estate sales simply hang their hat with a broker and then accept whatever marketing materials are available to them.

But not Michael Martin. He has taken his business to the next level. With video information and resources on his website, he communicates CLEARLY that he is “the expert” when it comes to Lake Keowee.

In this day and age, this is a MUST for marketers.

As an outsider looking in, I can see where it would be hard to compete with a guy like this. Success leaves clues and anyone that is here reading up on how to build a successful real estate business can definitely learn a thing or two from Michael Martin.  Who is to say that you have to study under coaches like Brian Buffini, Joshua Smith or Tom Ferry.

Just watch guys like this and emulate their actions.

When it comes to owning your own company and business, you’ve got to be willing to set yourself apart from competitors. By adopting a “do whatever it takes mentality,” there’s really nothing that you can’t achieve.  Take notes from Martin, copy him. His example might be enough to raise the bar for your own business.

Clearly, Martin believes in himself and his offering.

Does that mean that I’m going to ditch my digital deal and jump back into real estate?

Not hardly,

-Why?

Because I met a guy who had some down and dirty internet marketing skills that he shared with me.

Since then, no looking back even though I’m not knocking real estate investing.

Michael Martin (The Lake Company) Background and Bio:

Michael grew up on the Lake and has a passion for Lake Keowee, SC. He believes that each person has their purpose for wanting to move to the lake, and he is committed to helping them fulfill on their purpose.

When he first discusses their passion with them he wants to find out exactly what it is about the lake that has attracted them there. He uses this as a platform in order to determine the best area for them to relocate to. He is also committed to discussing with potential buyers the individual communities that make up the residents around the lake.

To this very day he still lives on the lake and owns a noteworthy property that was built in 1884.  He has spent over a year developing his website and wants to communicate to anyone that is a potential buyer for him that he is committed to his job and the communities surrounding the lake.

Michael Martin’s PRODUCTS & RESOURCES

Martin posts a regular monthly video blog with specifics about new properties and actions taken on portfolio properties. These video blogs are short–two or three minutes long. They go back as far as 2009.

Martin is big on videos. The resource section of his website (theLakeCompany.com) has a bunch of videos in various categories.

The “Must Watch” videos cover a range of real-estate related subjects, including lakefront communities, lakefront lots, dock permits, lake levels, water quality, water clarity, survey and setbacks, square footage requirements and timeframe to build, septic systems, drinking water sources, property taxes, and climate.

Dock videos show examples of different styles and builds of docks: hip and half dock, double slip sundeck dock, hip roof single slip dock, gable roof dock, single slip cedar shake dock, and dock tram.

Stabilization videos cover different kinds of walls: boulder walls, standard rip rap walls, larger rip rap walls, and mixed river rock wallsl.

The website is visitor-friendly and easy to navigate. It contains more information than usually found in the average real estate agent/broker site. It can be helpful for the real estate investor who is looking for examples of properties or amenities.

Martin is a congenial person who seems to be more than generous with his information.

I think most business owners could learn a thing or two from him.

Is his offering a scam?

No way. As far as I can see he is into treating people right.
