Joshua Smith’s 90 Day Mastery Program: Can it work for you?
Welcome to my Naked Review Series…
Alright so first off I just want to say that Joshua obviously is a real go-getter.
You can tell just by the way he flaunts his tats and has an in-yo’-face video persona that he can bring it in real estate ring.
He offers a mentoring program.
The big question though is whether or not it’ll work for you?
First let me introduce myself: I’m Paul (Real Estate Spy) with another rogue review on what might get you >>separated from your money.<<
My story? It’s all water under the bridge now, but I pretty much lost everything doing real estate investing. So, I put together a real estate blog to talk about all of the guru garbage out there. I fell victim to a lot of it. But thank God I met someone who was pretty sly at internet marketing and who showed me the ropes. He helped me turn everything around. I work from home and love it.
I wanted to kill my cubicle and he showed me how. He was a pharmacist who got tired of dealing with the BS out there working a 9 to 5. So, he retired himself from his career and is doing what he loves from home too.
The biggest thing missing in my life up until this point? I needed the right mentor in place and I needed to have direct access to him/her.
=>It couldn’t just be someone who I could connect with in written text format.
It had to be a live human being that I could ask the real hard questions to.
That is one of the BIGGEST problems I have with a lot of the gurus out there. You will never meet them in a “100 years.” You’ll meet people that they appoint to run their seminars and answer their questions. But, they market their stuff as if you’re going to hang out with them and have coffee. That is one of the things that was a bit refreshing when I took a look at Joshua Smith. You’ll see why in a minute.
Ok So I am not really NAKED in the video, but for my naked truth series I thought it’d kinda funny to go topless…ooooh sounds so scandalous. LOL
Joshua Smith Realtor gone Rebel guru
Who is he? The NAKED Truth?
He has been listed as one of the top 30 Real estate agents by the Wall Street Journal. He has sold over 4,000 homes, and he claims to be in the top one percent of all realtors worldwide. I love the guy because he has a lot of enthusiasm and is committed to continuing on in his real estate business whether he coaches you or not. He says that he simply dealt with so many crappy coaches that he wanted to provide an alternative. He learned how to run his business efficiently and produce high results, So much so, that he was asked by others to do some coaching.
Just by way of his personality he attracts people that want to have high levels of success in their niche. He claims that his mission is to provide high-level training at a very affordable price. He wants to beat all of the other gurus out there by providing the best level of education and create the biggest following, but without the huge price tag.
He deliberated on this concept for over two years. I did not though that when it comes to getting his name out there you can tell that he’s been at it for a while. You can go back in Google to 2013 and find videos that show him reaching out to people in his area regarding real estate. I believe at the time, he was probably just trying to get his Internet marketing dialed in. It takes a little while to understand what you’re doing in national campaigns.
He is all about teaching from the real estate trenches. And he make sure that you understand that this is a “get off your ass and work program.” He says it’s tactical and it’s hard core and people are going to learn through the 90 day mastery program how to get up and take action and make real things happen. He even claims that some of his students have made as much as $70,000 in commissions in three months as newbies in the industry after following his program.
Do I think this is possible? Heck yeah, it really is all about taking action. I believe that his goal is to get you connected and plugged into a source that serves as fuel for your business and career.
Joshua Smith Real Estate Coaching and Training
I have to say this is probably one of the very first programs that I feel pretty comfortable with in terms of recommending it. Reason I say that is because I feel like Joshua spends time covering the things that really hold us back in general.
He coaches you about:
- Mindset: My mentors helped me with this. I didn’t know I was so self-defeating when I first started.
- Overcoming failure
- Dealing with fear of rejection. Yes, making the phone call that you dread. Can you imagine what it would be like if you didn’t have any dread at the bottom of your soul when you pick up the phone?
- Defining your desired outcome (not just your run of the mill goal-setting workshop)
- Scheduling yourself wisely and time hacks
- Database management
- Scripts that work
- Getting listings (from introduction, to dealing with objections, to closing the deal.)
- Giving guarantees… In Internet marketing we call this the irresistible offer. I’ll give you my plane for your car. Not exactly…well not exactly.. but you get the message. You have to make yourself memorable and make sure that people know that they get great value if they work with you.
- He offers a mastermind Facebook group. He is in it every day. I got to say this is great. Of course, I believe that you can do a lot more with a lot less in Internet marketing than you can in real estate. I simply know too many starving agents. Joshua and the Blue Diablo (Mark Ferguson) are exceptions.
Sorry Charlie… My blog. I can say what I want, and I’m not slighting anyone here in the least.
Joshua Smith…more than a Realtor
I really like Joshua Smith’s enthusiasm and charisma and he is really clear on the fact that he is out doing this business. Now, I’m not going to say he’s making a ton of money doing the coaching, however, I would speculate that he does. At the very least he is setting himself apart from everybody else in his industry. All he has to do with new buyers/sellers is point them to his blog. They feel like they are working with the best. That alone will get him tons more business.
One of the key points that I took away from his presentation was that you have to have the proper mindset in order to grow your business.
I’ve learned some good lessons specifically about Essentialism. It is simply making sure that you put the big things in first before you try to pack the little stuff in your limited suitcase called time.
We spend so much time working on things that have absolutely no impact on our success or for that matter even making money.
I can really relate to this because I work from home. Sometimes it feels like it’s just easier to clean the kitchen than to sit down and actually do something that makes me money. You simply gotta gitt’er done…thank you Larry “the Cable Guy.” (Not Larry Goins)
Joshua communicates that he understands what it’s like to go to a conference to get a bunch of content and not remember or have future access to it. So he mmakessure that everybody that goes to his conference has access to a lifetime membership. He also records the conference. I’m not sure if this is a separate paid membership or if it comes with the price of tuition of roughly $1500.
But I highly recommend that you have access to the information that you learn. However, most of us simply go to a conference and then we never even look at our notes. So if you’re like everybody else then it may not be that beneficial to you.
Joshua Smith delivers a great promise to deliver a speech and back it up with testimonials. I think he has set himself apart from other coaches in the industry and is mirroring a highly successful formula.
The only downside I see is that you are still working in a place that doesn’t provide residual income. Each month you start over. So I recommend looking at something that can make you money ongoing while you are sleeping. That’s what I did…and I’m glad I did.
